A
special healing diet is taken during Karkidaka month called Marunnu
Kanji/Karkidaka Kanji. Karkidaka Kanji is a medicinal rice soup is a
traditional item of Kerala during the rainy days. These days you get

ingredients & herbs. This tasty dish has a special effect in warding
off the monsoon fevers.
How to make;
Soak the fenugreek in water overnight. Boil Navara rice and fenugreek in water. Add Cumin seeds, Aniseed, Ayamodakam, Aashali, Dry ginger, Kurunthotti, Sathakuppa, Karimjeerakam, Cardamom, Thakkolam, Grambu, Nutmeg. When rice is almost cooked, add the second coconut milk to it. Boil well till rice is fully cooked, then add the first coconut milk. Add the salt and jaggery, stir it well.
